On To Cordoba!

So, tomorrow I am taking a day trip to Cordoba, my tests are finally over and I can BREATH!!!

Woooh!

So, life in Spain. Well, what they don´t tell you about Cafe Con Leche is that eventually you get SICK OF IT AND JUST WANT A GIANT MUG OF COFFEE...so, for week, some classmates and I have been craving mugs of it.

Well, lo and behold, about twenty minutes from my school, they open a Dunkin donuts, A REAL LIVE DUNKIN DONUTS!!! WITH BIG COFFEES!! See, the thing is, its nice soaking up the foreign country, but damnit, you miss what you knew, what you were used to, and ginat mugs of coffee.

So, I went to Dunkin Donuts, and I liked it, I don´t care what anyone thinks. It looked just like any DD, same pictures of coffee and bagels and unsatisfactory donuts. Its an amazing place, really. truly amazing. Ha.

Outside of that, well, I am alright, nothing exciting. I spent my past few days reading, or writing, or a little of both. So, no knew ideas...still trying to figure out the whole thing, but if you are interested...he has a website.

hey zaika

Enjoy your trip to Cordoba! And keep writing - it's actually funny about DD, and it's definitely true that you get tired of unfamiliar things and places, especially after first novelty wears off.
I looked up that website - it's pretty tricky and definitely not easy to navigate. I ended up having to actually type in some web addresses. His pictures are funny...sponge Bob...I actually found this weird piece of writing in English that they have on their web site. I skimmed it. It looks like although he is now well known and paid by the city, he actually has been fined by the same city. Once he even got an award for his work and received a fine in the mail on the same day. So he is not just regular well-known artist who gets paid by the establishment. He is more like folk, on the border of legal and not so legal.
In case you did not read this paper and are interested, i'll send it to you in one of my emails.

Cordoba is a nice town.
Go check out the statue of Maimonides (Rambam) and a synagogue where he used to pray. Cordoba got a Jewish quarter, don't miss it. Alkazar is nice too.

hey! it all sounds great and exotic, i have no clue where any of these places are... although i suppose it forced to guess i'd say spain. um, as i mentioned in your email, you'd be crazy NOT to be extremely excited over dunkin donuts popping up near campus after over a month of being away from american coffee. have you had the donuts? can't remember you ever being a fan but do you miss home enough to buy and really enjoy a DD donut?
so the vice presidential debate is on tonight. don't know if you've been following the election much from over there but the best part so far has been the SNL spoof of sarah palin... also, i watched a clip of the real interview last night and it's a close second. it's a little unreal. so if you haven't, i recommend taking a few minutes and watching clips of both. there'll probably be more material from tonight.
well, i need to read a little before watching "tv". have a great weekend and get back to me about madrid vs granada!! love you!!!
ps so sveta, you're coming?:)
