On Amsterdam. Continued

So, what did I do in Amsterdam beyond the walking around?

More walking around. We spent the majority of our days wandering the streets, and canals, of Amsterdam. What I did not realize was that Amsterdam is arguably one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. From the picturesque canals, to the lanky houses, squished together. The weather was brisk but fresh, not the cool air that chills you to the bone, but the cold air that you get used to, the one that turns your face a flattering shade of crimson.

We went to the tulip market, went to the Anne Frank House, went to the Van Gogh Museum, when to the Rijksmuseum. WE ate once in a restaurant, and had a delicious pizza.

What I learned in Amsterdam:
Rembrandt is arguably the greatest painter ever.
Dutch Langugae is hilarious.
The Anne Frank house Museum has pretttty much nothing in it. But it was depressing nontheless.
Van Gogh led a pretty dreary life.
Tulips are cool.

ha. Anyways. I had a great time.

Also, I bought ticketsand I am coming home, from Barcelona on the 18th of December! SO EXCITED!!!!

hey zaika

since you were not posting for awhile everyone fell out of the habit of going to your blogspot and posting comments. as you can see papa and I are back (he is actually in my office at work right now).
I know Anne Frank house is not much but somehow I believe it's the most visited museum in Amsterdam, and it feels right to go there.

I started official countdown to my trip to Spain. Can't wait to see you. Start creating our itinerary (I am not buying a book on Spain since you already have one). I found out that Madrid is arguably the best place in Europe for those who like going to art museums. It has 3 huge art museums and they are all in one spot which is called Golden or Art Triangle. They have everything there, even Russian avant guard.

Can't wait to see you!
Love you!

hey! i've definitely started my count down too. i can't wait to see you, it's been so long, it's crazy to think about. sounds like you had a pretty amazing week off, not too shabby going to amstartdam and london... and did you go somewhere else too? i can't even rememeber. it's also pretty great that the place we'll be staying is just steps from where you'll be going to school, so you can just roll out of bed and go, at least for that week. i'm beyond ready for a vacation at this point. going to work makes me mad, at least today it did until about a couple of hours before the end of the day. everyone wants something from me all the time... anyway, sorry i just can't stop complaining. do you want anything from here by the way? i can't think of anything... is there american candy you miss or anything like that? let me know, i like buying things:) so when are you done with classes? how much time will you have between finishing with school and flying back home? pretty soon we can talk about all this in person!!! ok, i miss you and can't wait to see you!!!!! love you!
